Environmental education towards toddlers whether for them to be learned at home or at school has been a topic for interest. Both perspective has its own justification and this essay will elaborate on, before giving a personal opinion.
On one side, giving a grounding in environmental understanding at home does have its appeals. This could easily be done, especially when the tutors are mothers or fathers, for the purpose of raising awareness on the child as family members have always been the closest and most meaningful for ones, directing and guiding the kids in their first life time. The outstanding example for this is the whole personality of one would mirror their family status, as they raise their child and the kid mimic the acts from the beginning. As the result, teaching them at home, with their dearest influencers can be convenient for one to gain knowledge.
On the other hand, there are plausible reasons why activities serve for environmental conservation such as recycle or waste restriction should be communicated in institute. The key rationale in favor of this notion is pupils themselves, has the sense of acquirement from school much more than at home or anywhere else without tutoring sectors. This can be seen in a behavior of a child, as the knowledge and conductibility which got gathered from school, would represent their human nature and social comportment. With the need to protect the environment nowadays, by that, the way of instilling knowledge about environment and conservation acts at school can enhance awareness of the students and further, make great impacts for the society when they grow up.
As discussed, there are strong arguments in support of both sides of the debate. In the final analysis, I personally believe that having the pupils being educated about environment is more compelling as the receptive level for students to learn at school is much higher.
